युरेनस (Uranus)

 


    ............चला तर आज आपण आज सूर्यापासुन सातव्या क्रमांकाच्या ग्रहाविषयी म्हणजेच युरेनस(Uranus) विषयी माहिती घेऊया. दुर्बिनीच्या सहाय्याने शोधलेला पहिला ग्रह म्हणजे युरेनस होय. युरेनस या ग्रहाचे सूर्यापासुनचे अंतर तब्बल 288 कोटी किलामीटर इतके आहे. युरेनस या ग्रहावरील‍ दिवस हा फक्त 17 तासांचाच असतो. तर या ग्रहावरील एक वर्ष हे पृथ्वीवरील 84 वर्षांइतके असते. म्हणजेच काय तर सूर्याभोवती एक फेरी पूर्ण करण्यासाठी युरेनस ग्रहाला 84 वर्षे लागतात.

       युरेनस ग्रहाला 27 चंद्र आहेत. चंद्र म्हणजे नैसर्गिक उपग्रह होय. युरेनस हा ग्रह उघड्या डोळ्यांनी दिसत नाही. युरेनस ग्रह हा सर्वांत थंड ग्रह आहे. सुर्यापासुन खूप दुर असल्यामुळे तो गोठलेल्या अवस्थेत आहे. युरेनस वरील कमीत कमी तापमान -224˚c इतके आहे. त्याच्या वातावरणात हायड्रोजन, हेलियम, आमोनिया व मिथेन इत्यादी वायु आढळतात. मिथेन वायुमुळे हा ग्रह निळसर रंगाचा दिसतो. या ग्रहावरील वाऱ्यांचा वेग हा सरासरी 900 किलोमीटर प्रती तास इतका प्रचंड आहे. युरेनस या ग्रहाचे वजन हे पृथ्वीच्या वजनाच्या 14.5 पट आहे.



Voyager 2  हे अंतराळयान ऑगस्ट 1977 मध्ये सोडण्यात आले होते तर ते 24 जानेवारी 1986 रोजी युरेनस जवळ पोहोचले म्हणजे जवळ जवळ 8 वर्षे. असा हा आपल्या सूर्यमालेतील सातव्या क्रमांकाचा ग्रह आहे.
